Manny P – “Manny’s Phone” [Video]

Manny’s Phone” is a melodic song, produced by Hero & ChromeOTB. The song captures how it feels when your phone is blowing up, but all you want at the moment is to be left alone. Instead of merely mimicking the lyrics, New York native, Manny P flexed his creative side by going with a garage band theme for the video. The goal was to match the energy of the song; laid back while at the same time, upbeat. He teamed up with Howell Designs Studio to direct the visual.

Sadat X, Nature, E. Smitty, Rebel Rodomez – “Wolfpack”

In an age where commercial music has become so cliche that you can’t differentiate from what artist you’re listening to because they all sound so similar, Sadat XNatureE. Smitty and Rebel Rodomez look to raise the bar with unique, authentic contrasting styles.
Their new single “Wolfpack” demonstrates everything that Hip-Hop needs right now. The diverse platoon of emcees devour the beat like a hungry pack of wolves, reminiscent of the days of 5,4,3,2,1.
This one was produced by ATL beat-smith E. Smitty and he also takes a turn on the mic in verse 3. Elegant boombap production with a modern twist to grab the attention of all generations. “WolfPack” will be featured on Rebel Rodomez upcoming double-album “iL Campione” which releases on August 28th via Sound Alive Records.

tobi lou Releases ‘tobi lou and the juice’ EP

Last week, tobi lou proved that we were all goats with his “Goaty” video. Now, he returns with a brand new EP called ’tobi lou and the juice’. This 7-track offering features an enigmatic detailing of what it means to be painfully self-aware but not devasted by the emotion. Though upbeat and light in prose, tobi never says away from the depths of truth, or hides from the reverberations of honesty through his delivery.

Son Kuma – Trippin [Video]

Originally from Los Angeles but currently stationed in Palo Alto, Son Kuma releases a visual for his Griffin Stoller-produced “Trippin.” Like the title, Son Kuma takes viewers through a mind-altering visual laced with trippy colors and visual aids in the Punya Chatterjee-directed effort. Inspired by an acid trip with an ex-girlfriend, the woodland scenic visual is a bit of a double entendre, playing on the idea of a hallucinatory “trippin” and the wild things in life that send us skipping.
