KP The Great Takes The Stage Along With Big Boi, Goodie Mob & More For The First-Ever ‘A-Town Music Fest’ This Weekend

Grammy award winning writer, DJ and ATL native, KP The Great, has just been announced as the official DJ for the first-ever A-Town Music Fest, taking place this Saturday. Held at the popular Wolfcreek Amphitheater, over thousands of guests will be entertained by some of the ATL acts who’ve helped pave the way with the sound of southern hip-hop. Legends like Goodie Mobb, Cee-Lo Green, Big Boi, Kilo Ali, Raheem The Dream and YoungBloodz will all perform their biggest hits, with KP controlling the vibes throughout the evening.
KP The Great will also give his fans a treat with a special guest DJ set focused on Atlanta’s impact on music and culture, with special guest performances toward the end of the night. “The A-Town Fest is going to be a party…celebrating Atlanta. I’m grateful to share the stage with some of my real friends and give a great show to the city that made all of us. Saturday will go down in ATL history,” KP The Great stated.

DJ Khaled to Headline First Annual Music, Tech, Fashion & Art Conference, YesJulz and Tonio Skits to Co-Host IMPACT ’17 Event

 

IMPACT ‘17, featuring headliner DJ Khaled and co-hosts YesJulz and Tonio Skits, will be coming to the University of Miami’s Watsco Center on June 29th.  Deemed “The Essential Music, Tech, Fashion & Art Conference,” the inaugural event aims to provide a platform for industry leaders and influencers to share their stories with young spirited entrepreneurs of tomorrow. With a jam packed itinerary, attendees can expect to gain valuable insight and learn techniques that can be implemented into their respective fields!

The conference will feature a FREE event portion for the general public, a pop-up station from 1 PM to 6 PM that will include an art gallery, local indie artists, DJ performances, and exclusive vendors. All this will go down at the fieldhouse at the Watsco Center.

The day will advance to the conference portion, starting promptly at 4 PM, inside the arena at the Watsco Center, which you’ll need your ticket to access! There attendees will get a chance to listen to  roundtable discussions and Q&A’s with art, tech, fashion, and music industry leaders. With over 40 panelists, special guests include pop culture sensation YesJulz, Rico Love, DJ LAZ, actor comedian Tonio Skits, Platinum recording artist Lunch Money Lewis, Cocaine Cowboys director Billy Corben, John Henry, Brandon Bryant, and lots more. The event will also feature a fashion show from Mint Swim, the popular swimwear line founded by former Basketball Wives star Draya Michele. Recap SXSW Takeover Day 2: Lil Wayne Headlines SXSW Takeover x Mass Appeal “LIVE AT THE BBQ” Stage

 

Day 2 of the SXSW Takeover was the hottest ticket in Austin last night, with Lil Wayne headlining Mass Appeal’s LIVE AT THE BBQ Stage at the legendary Stubb’s BBQ.

A relaxed Wayne appeared on stage nearly 30 minutes ahead of schedule and delivered an energetic set featuring his greatest hits including “A Milli,” “Lollipop,” Go DJ,” “Love Me,” “Steady Mobbin” and “Every Girl;” as well as his featured verses on hit singles like Chance The Rapper’s “No Problems,” Drake’s “HYFR” and Chris Brown’s “Loyal.”

During the set, Wayne also introduced the next class of artists on the Young Money Roster: Vice Versa, Hoody Baby, Gudda Gudda and Jay Jones, son of one of the members of legendary Hollygrove rap group Black Menace.

 

Pryor to Lil Wayne’s performance, the full capacity crowd was treated to performances by Dave East, backed by legendary DJ/Producer Statik Selektah; MadeinTYO, with surprise guest 24Hrs; Rapsody, joined on stage by producer 9th Wonder; A Boogie wit da Hoodie and surprise guest PNB Rock, and newcomers Saint JHN, Trill Sammy and Omen.

Between sets, DJ Green Lantern kept the crowd rocking with a mix of old school and new school hits.
