The 3-tracks are written by Stizz and feature production from on Lil Rich on “Made,” and “Brain Freeze,” and Tee-WaTT, Tyrus &VVD on “Butterfly.”
Cold Times follows Stizz’ All Adds Up bundle which was released earlier this summer to great critical praise with Pitchfork exclaiming “Stizz has developed into a consistent hook maker with an ear for production that rarely disappoints. On ‘Did It’ his one-note flow is mesmerizing…” while HipHopDX says that All Adds Up shows why he “deserves to be one of the big dogs.”
Stizz was also featured on the Uncle Drew Official Soundtrack with “Records,” released earlier this summer.
Previously, Stizz released his critically acclaimed major label debut, One Night Only in July 2017. Led by “Headlock” ft. Offset and other standouts including “Lambo” and “Neiman Barneys” ft. G-Eazy, Pitchfork called it his “strongest project yet” while Pigeons & Planes exclaimed, “[One Night Only] is the kind of project you can put on and run through without skipping any songs. Cousin Stizz just leveled up.”

The mixtape is released as part of a campaign with Adult Swim. The partnership includes Awful Swim artwork and forthcoming merchandise designed by Emmy-award winning designer JJ Villard, Father’s music being featured in network bumps and promotions, and will see Father perform at the inaugural Adult Swim Festival in LA this October. Additionally, Father is part of the Adult Swim Singles program and kicked off round eight with the release of “Fashionista ” ft. Lil House Phone. Father also shares additional dates for a North American leg of “The Private Show” tour. Kicking off on November 2nd in Chicago, he will hit major cities including Toronto, New York and Los Angeles before wrapping on November 25th in Seattle. Father previously announced European dates in London, Paris, Berlin and Hamberg. The full tour will feature direct support from fellow Awful Records duo Danger Incorporated. Earlier this summer, Father released “We Had A Deal” and “Lotto” ft. ABRA and their accompanying videos which marked his first releases since announcing his newly formed creative partnership with RCA Records earlier this summer. Both appear on Awful Swim.
The tracks were met with great critical praise upon release. Stylz & Wells return with new music video to their latest single “Bottles” produced by J. Wells & Isaac James. “Bottles” was filmed while the group was touring South Korea with legendary Korean rapper Tiger JK. The single is taken from the group’s upcoming debut, Vibes, which features collaborations with Too Short, Nipsey Hussle and Dead Prez.
In the 1st half of 2018, Wu-Tang Clan fans worldwide were hopeful that the previous sale of the one of a kind Wu-Tang album, Once Upon a Time in Shaolin, would change hands from the currently incarcerated owner Martin Shkreli to Wu-Tang affiliate Matthew “M80” Markoff who would release it freely to the public— to be appreciated by all.
