“After gaining over 3 million hits it was only right that Wes Walker and Dyl drop a music video for their summer banger “Jordan Belfort”. The duo linked with College Weekly and did just that with movie quality production. The story starts out with Walker being on the run and what ensues will have you watching this video multiple times. “
FreeLiving emcee from Minneapolis, Lucien Parker, just dropped his first track since living in Madison, Wiconsin, where now the upcoming rapper attends school. “Sultry Days” is a symbol of growth for Lucien as he attends his freshman year in college, all while constantly making moves for his music career. The new track highlights themes of “police brutality emphasizing the idea of the “hot days” in the summer ” the rapper said, also contrasting it with references of his recent transition from high school to college. Today marks the 6th anniversary of Michael Jackson’s passing.
There’s no doubt MJ influenced countless artists that came after him, including Johnny Phrank, who commemorates MJ by releasing a song he wrote with Mr. Jackson’s own “Dirty Diana” in mind.
Although Phrank’s street-smart approach and darkly seductive style afford him a uniquely identifiable sound of his own, Phrank is often compared to Future because of his descriptive street narratives, and The Weeknd, because of his silky smooth vocals.
His latest single, “Dirty Diana,” boasts production from producer Willie B, who is best known for producing Kendrick Lamar’s “Ignorance Is Bliss” and “Rigamortis” from Lamar’s Overly Dedicated and Section 80. The Grammy nominated producer also recently produced “03′ Adolescence” on J. Cole’s Forest Hills Drive album.
Give it a listen below, and find out why Johnny Phrank is the next big smooth crooner in music.
