Producer & CEO of The Remedy Productions Group, Dun Deal On The Track is known for producing hit records, “Stoner” for Young Thug, “Hannah Montana” for Migos, “She Twerkin” for Ca$hOut, and many others. In a recent interview with The Progress Report, Dun Deal spoke about longevity in the music business and references Migos’ career and introduces his new artist, BlueFaceBally. BlueFaceBally is originally from New York but was raised in East Atlanta. He has 2 projects out, Blue Face Trip and Overly High and a single with Gunna called “Porshe”.
2 of Atlanta’s rising artists, BlueFaceBally and Gunna recently linked for “Porshe” which is produced by Dun Deal, Fuse (808 Mafia) & Blessed. “Porshe” is BlueFaceBally’s first single off his upcoming mixtape which is the follow up to his debut project, ‘Blue Face Trip’ which released earlier this year executive produced by Dun Deal.
BlueFaceBally is a 19-year-old artist from East Atlanta, GA. Music has always been the heart of the household as both of his parents hail from New York and his mother is an active poet, while his father formerly rapped. Bally grew up listening to East Coast acts such as the Fugees, Mobb Deep, and A Tribe Called Quest and was eventually introduced to other aspects of Hip Hop.
Bally recorded his first song over 2 years ago and decided to pursue a career as a musician after the ample responses he received from strangers online. The positive feedback triggered Bally to get more musically inclined and study the craft more in-depth, elevating his creativity.
His sound is melodic and airy and Bally is currently signed to his mentor and hit producer, Dun Deal and his label, 4NXChange Records. Bally’s debut project, ‘Blue Face Trip’ released mid-March and features production from Dun Deal, Chopsquad DJ of Metro Boomin’s, Boominati, and a feature from Reese Laflare. Bally explains that the project will take fans on a trippy hallucination through his mind and aims to make people feel happy and confident through his music.
During an exclusive interview with music producer Dun Deal, he reveals that he started in the music industry as a artist and eventually transitioned to a producer in 2006. Dun describes the life of a producer as a constant cycle of working daily, pushing the artists you believe in and being patient waiting for your time to shine.
For those who are not familiar with Dun Deal, he is the credited producer of hits such as Young Thugs “Stoner”, Migos “Hannah Montana”, Logics “Burried Alive”, Futures “No Love” & “Double Cups & Molly”, Gucci Manes “Point In My Life”, Ca$hOut “She Twerkin” and many more. Dun Deal began working with these artists prior to them being household names and advices upcoming producers to stick with anyone who they believe in.
“My mind works in the music- almost as if I was trained to play”.
Dun Deal describes his production style as soulful but not churchy and is able to pin point a hit if he keeps playing it over and over.
2017 is a rebirth for the producer as the past year he was dealing with legal issues involving him being falsely accused for a crime he did not commit. This year Dun Deal is looking forward to his upcoming joint mixtape with fellow producer C4.
