Last month we linked with Chicago artist Lud Foe while he was in NYC and got a chance to sit down with him in the studio. We got to hear some new music and also conducted a dope interview. Lud talked with us about new music, the streets, giving back to the youth, and more. He also opened up to us about the death rate in Chicago and how he doesn’t think anything will ever stop the violence.
LUD FOE is back like he never left, with his new video single, “Hit A Lick”! The song can be found on the young artists highly anticipated tape, ‘Boochie Gang the Mixtape’, which is slated to release this Summer. Lud Foe drills through this energetic 808 Mafia produced track certainly getting us all back in YSN mode. With a new partnership deal done by entertainmentOne Music and an upcoming Summer 2018 tour with HoodRich Pablo Juan, Foe plans on heating up the whole Summer.
About Lud Foe
Will James Akins BKA Chicago’s Lud Foe burst on the scene in 2015 armed with aggressive, gutter complemented by dreamy and druggy productions. After releasing the Bxnkroll- produced banger “187” , his first big buzz record, he re-surfaced in 2016 with “I’m Da Man”, which was later followed by “Suicide”. Most people are familiar with the 21 year old Boochie Gang frontman for his breakout hit, “Cuttin’ Up”, produced by KidWond3R. The song was remixed and features fellow Chi-Town recording artist Lil Durk and is currently at +15 million digital streams.
Lud Foe also gained much acclaim in September 2016 when he dropped the mixtape, No Hooks which showcased 20 original songs with absolutely no features and NO HOOKS. “What’s the Issue”, “Ambition of a Rider”, “No Hooks” and “Killa Season” were the breakout singles from this project.
In March 2017, Lud Foe got into a nearly fatal car accident with an 18-wheeler vehicle which left him with two broken wrists and a broken jaw. He dropped NO HOOKS 2, on October 27th 2017 and the project featured 5 songs he recorded while his mouth was wired shut. This Summer 2018 get ready for Boochie Gang the Mixtape.

Lud Foe name has been everywhere as of late, from the good to bad, he continues to keep powering up and nothing seems to be stopping his progression from these Chicago streets. Today, Lud Foe provides a different energy than the norm. We are certainly use to Lud Foe raging on a record, this time around the Chicago superstar brings us a an emotion filled open letter to his future son (Zayden) and baby mother. The new record catches Lud Foe opening up his heart and keeping it all the way authentic as per the usual as he clears up the air and looks to guide his future son in the right direction. The time has already come for Lud Foe to drop off yet another project! Lud Foe has been hinting a new mixtape on social media and most recently announced the highly anticipated “Boochie Gang” mixtape is finally on the way. Lud Foe fan base is growing each and every day and we don’t plan on seeing it stop anytime in the near future. One of the hardest spitting rappers in the game today, Lud Foe makes you feel everything in each and every record of his, from the pain and emotion to the exploding blasts of energy. Be on the lookout for this young talent for many years to come as long as he stays out of trouble and keeps evolving.
Quotable: “Ima do what I gotta do to keep my family fed! And if that means doing time in the fed, then fuck it send me to the feds”
Do you remember the classic NBA JAM video game? Well Lud Foe is officially HEATING UP. The young Chicago superstar took reign in 2017 and looks to keep it going in 18′ as he unleashes yet another video today. The new offering is for Lud Foe hard hitting and bar filled “Suffer” record off of his latest chart topping independent project “No Hooks 2”. Lud Foe remains strong although going through quite a lot in the past year, many may have been derailed but Foe has been dealing with negative energy his whole life coming up out of Chicago. The amazing part about Foe career is that everything has been in house, no label, no major feature roll outs, everything has been off the strength of his sound and YSN team. The new Denzel Williams directed film is clean, not like the audio needed any more power. Lud Foe is bossed up and flexing in a simple but movie like visual that will be sure to have fans pleased. Expect much more from Lud Foe in the upcoming months as he has already hinted a new follow up project!
Lud Foe has fans going crazy over his “NEW” visual from his chart topping ‘No Hooks 2’ project. With his latest videos being more so a recap while he was in the healing process, the new flick seems to be the Chicago super stars first actual physical appearance in a video since his near death car accident. We already know Lud Foe is not an artist to mess around with, but the gritty and aggressive rapper seems to be living life, with that said Foe conjures up a wavy new visual with KeJuan Blake as he appears to be living real life GTA. 2018 has been quite a year for the 21 year old artist and Lud Foe has continued to establish his name across the map in prominent form. What’s absolutely crazy to us is, in a world full of artists using features left and right to hit 1 million plus and power up, Foe has yet to truly branch out with these other rappers and is still putting up the same numbers across the board. It’s almost like practice for Foe, he’s just been warming up on the rest of his peers, truthfully making it look very easy especially with everything being independent. With slight indications that he has been talking to Meek Mill, Gucci Mane and more on calls (SnapChat + More), we are very intrigued to see what Foe and his team make happen in 2018.

Lud Foe might just be a savior to the current state of hip hop, not your classic hip hop lyricist but a youthful artist full of wild and energetic bars. The Chicago voice seems to be a breath of fresh air from the current wave of nerdy fiends teaming up throughout the industry, the last of a dying breed as he carries the torch with a handful of artists in the game. Behold, “No Hooks 2”, it has been a long time coming for the highly anticipated project but the day has finally come. Arguably the hottest artist out of the Midwest, Foe spits to you on his classic No Hooks flow with 21 high energy records that are sure to wake you the hell up. Coveted producer Kid Wond3r returns and 808Mafia makes an appearance as they feed Lud Foe and a few members from his YSN team the necessary production to set a blaze the entirety of the project. The sky seems to be the limit with Foe and it’s just the beginning, finishing up his tour with Tee Grizzley, labels calling, solo projects charting, millions of streams, and it all seems to be in house with little to none collaborations. Listen up & lock in to this wave Lud Foe is creating as the project is sure to go down as yet another classic in the artists discography.
DO YOU REMEMBER? In March of 2017, at about 3amLud Foe was involved in an almost fatal car accidentwith an 18-wheeler truck, on the West side of Chicago.
