Sammie Unveils Steamy Visual For “Too Long”

With a nod to R. Kelly‘s hit single “You Remind Me of Something,” Sammie unveils the seductive visual for his single “Too Long.” Directed by Keoni Marcelo, the video follows the R&B crooner on a steamy encounter with the leading lady in the club. “Too Long” serves as the second single off his third album and first full-length independent offering, Coming of Age [EMPIRE] available on all DSPs now. Coming of Age, which debuted at #2 on the iTunes R&B charts, represents an evolution from boy-to-man and showcases Sammie‘s versatility as well as his undeniable soul from the tropical single “Bad Gal,” to the emotional title track “COA,” and features appearances from Eric Bellinger and fellow Florida native Rick Ross. Now, he is gearing up to release the companion documentary, “Coming of Age” which highlights his journey and career from his introduction into the music industry as a pre-teen to present day. At just 12-years-old Sammie‘s debut single“I Like It” propelled him into superstardom. The single was included on his 2000 debut album From The Bottom To the Top and peaked in the Top 10 on the Billboard R&B Chart. His second studio album Sammie included the hit singles “You Should Be My Girl” featuring Sean Paul of YoungBloodz, and “Come With Me.” Along the way, Sammie was featured on Soulja Boy‘s Billboard Top 5 single “Kiss Me Thru the Phone” and co-wrote Tank‘s “Next Breath.” In 2016, Sammie released the 6-track EP, I’m Him after a snippet of the title track went viral garnering over 2 million streams on Spotify.

Celebrities, artists, music executives, and influencers celebrated the release ofSammie‘s latest album Coming of Age at an intimate listening event hosted by TV personality Yandy Smith at The 40/40 Club in New York City Monday, September 11th. Guests enjoyed complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they previewed Coming of Age, followed by a live Q&A session with Yandy Smith and Sammie. The former child star also treated guests to an exclusive first look at his upcoming documentary by the same name, which highlights his career from his introduction to the industry at just 12-years old, to his return to the spotlight last year with his viral single “I’m Him.” Among the guests in attendance were R&B veteran Tank, rapper Deyonte Hunter, Hollywood Unlocked’s CEO Jason Lee and more.

Coming of Age includes the buzzing singles “Bad Gal” and “Too Long” and features appearances by Rick Ross and Eric Bellinger.

Atlanta’s R&B crooner Sammieunleashes the sensual new single “Too Long,” available at all digital retailers today. With a nod to R.Kelly‘s hit single “You Remind Me Of Something,” and produced by Bryan “K-City” Elmore the former pre-teen sensation reminds us he is all grown up. Listen here.
