Mozzy Drops Official Music Video For “Excuse Me” feat. Too $hort, YHUNG T.O. & DCMBR

Sacramento rapper Mozzy drops the official visual for “Excuse Me” featuring Bay area legend Too $hort as well as Yhung T.O. and DCMBR. The SUJ-directed visual captures the group partying poolside with friends in the Hills, a perfect fit for the song’s appealing NorCal bounce. Reece Beats can be credited with production on the track. “I wanted to make something the people can function with inside the club and the radio can gravitate to,” Mozzy told Complex, who premiered the video earlier today. “This song has become one of the biggest songs on Gangland Landlord.”

Mozzy’s latest album Gangland Landlord (Mozzy Records/EMPIRE) dropped earlier this month to rave reviews for its lyrical prowess and social consciousness. Previous single releases include “Thugz Mansion” featuring Ty Dolla $ign and YG (which pays homage to the late Tupac Shakur), “Not Impressive”, “Walk Up” and “Choke On Me.” Mozzy is set to take the stage at Rolling Loud Los Angeles on December 15th among the best of his peers and will be announcing additional tour dates in the near future.

Too $hort Unleashes Rare & Unreleased Footage In “Go $hort Dog”

“15 million Soundscan. Let me think back how it began…”, Too $hort narrates as a classic photo of him and Freddie B. dating back to 1983 hits the screen. Directed by Maxwell Robinson, the legendary video for “Go $hort Dog” marks the second release from Too $hort’s highly anticipated, forthcoming 20th studio album The Pimp Tape [Dangerous Music/EMPIRE] – set for release November 9, pre-order the album here.Through his video, $hort goes on to lyrically and visually depict his fabled career while paying a nod to other legends such as Ice Cube, Eazy-E, Kid Rock, Notorious B.I.G., Tupac, Pimp C, Jay-Z,T.I., Scarface, Bushwick Bill, Willie D, Lil Jon, Jazze Pha, Jermaine Dupri, 8Ball & MJG, MC Breed, and Lil Kim. He reminiscences on being the first rapper from his hometown of Oakland, California to receive a platinum plaque, which has now gone 6x platinum and 4x gold.

Too $hort Releases Video For “Ain’t My Girlfriend” feat. Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, French Montana, & Joyner Lucas

“Hey dad, can you play that new Too $hort?” a seemingly upper class-born girl asks as she hops into the car with her family. Directed by Embryo, the hilarious new music video for Too $hort’s star-studded “Ain’t My Girlfriend (feat. French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign, Joyner Lucas and Jeremih)” track features a formally-dressed family driving through their neighborhood in a minivan, having the time of their life singing along to the raunchy and explicit lyrics.

Too $hort heats up the summer with “The Sex Tape”

Multiplatinum hip-hop legend and Bay Area O.G. Too $hort heats up the summer with The Sex Tape [O.G Records/EMPIRE] . Get it HERE.

The Sex Tape marks the third installment of a four-part series preceding the upcoming arrival of his 20th and final studio album—The Pimp Tape—out this summer.

Living up to its name, The Sex Tape undresses 12 of $hort’s most raunchy, ratchet, and raw tracks ever. Hyphy production bubbles under the opener “Can’t Take Her” [feat. ymtk], which gets nasty off the bat with one eyebrow-raising ad-lib after another. “Pull Yo Trophies Out [feat. Philthy Rich] goes hard over a slow and sexy beat, while “Dance Like You Fuckin” proves tailormade for any after-afterparty. Meanwhile, the single “Balance” resembles something of a dark horse. Its delicate production slips under $hort’s hypnotic homage to pole dancing ingenues worldwide as he praises, “It must be a challenge, tryna keep your balance.”

Check out the surprisingly graceful and gorgeous music video exclusively on World Star Hip-Hop.

$hort has been literally everywhere this year. Cardi B’s “Brickenhead” samples his original “Cuss Words,” and “In The Trunk” pipes through the beginning of Black Panther. Next up, his collaboration with Kelis, “Bossy,” plays in the upcoming blockbuster Oceans 8.

However, everything serves as a prelude to The Pimp Tape.

With 30 years under his belt, 15 million Soundscan sales, 6 platinum certifications, 4 gold certifications, collaborations alongside both Tupac, The Notorious B.I.G., and Jay-Z countless sold out shows, and hundreds of guest appearances, Too $hort cracked the code to hip-hop immortality. From Drake copping his “Blow The Whistle” lyrics and flow on the double-platinum DJ Khaled smash “For Free” to Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj twisting up “Freaky Tales” in the platinum smash “Rake It Up,” this legend’s influence permeates every corner of modern rap. If West Coast hip-hop ever gets its own Mount Rushmore, he deserves to be right next to Dr. Dre, Tupac, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, and E-40—preferably smoking a blunt. $hort’s 20th full-length and first for his own O.G. Records and EMPIRE, The Pimp Tape, once again asserts the icon’s spot at the top by embracing everything listeners fell in love with way back in 1985…
