George Khouri is a prime example of a new school contemporary artist. He captures the essence of what it means to create art and music across all mediums.
Starting his career as a writer, Khouri has since excelled to the next level and now has over 200k streams on Spotify, and is set to release his latest single, “FUNK DAT”, in the coming months. Khouri acknowledges the obstacles that are all too common in the music industry, but he always makes sure to see these setbacks as challenges that can help him grow rather than hinder him.
Khouri explains that he started from scratch in the music industry and has been self-taught ever since. He stresses that music is more accessible than it’s ever been, and that that’s a very beautiful thing. Khouri acknowledges how competitive the industry is, and points out that there is not one equation to success as a musician. He states:
“You can’t control outlucking someone but you can surely control outworking someone — I’m always down to put more work than the next person– or at least try my best to”.

Vi City is an American artist, writer, and producer of both music and film, who always strives to be authentic and put his soul into his work. While he remembers always being interested in music and rapping throughout his life, it was a last-minute invite to the studio with hit artist Nelly that really marked the beginning of his successful music career.
Since, Vi City has found his music on the hit TV show and film, Entourage, which he wrote, produced, and performed himself. He has also co-produced songs for Young Money with producer Rich Skillz, and has featured on “Some Ish” with Sir Michael Rocks on his #1 debut album, Banco. Vi City continues his hot-streak with the visual titled “i LuV3 m3” featuring Moneybagg Yo, along with the single “S3LF LuV3” feat. Lil Poppa, “M0n3Y 0n Tr3es” feat. Tee Grizzly, and his hit single “On God”, which has now amassed over a million streams and views.
While always keeping his eyes on the prize and his goals at the forefront of everything he does, Vi City believes that his work ethic and authenticity have kept him ahead of the game in the music industry. He notes that trial and error has been his best friend in this industry, and that is how he has learned the tricks of the trade.
Always aiming to be the best version of himself, Vi City has found key ways to destress and avoid the burnout of the music industry, such as working out, going to movies by himself, and meditating. Vi City hopes to be be perceived as “A hard-working, focused and self-made flawed individual striving to be the best version of himself daily”.
If you would like to follow Vi City you can find him on instagram under @iamvicity.

What is your name and what city do you rep? My name is DL and I rep Queens, NY.
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them? My new single is entitled D.A.F. which some in my circle believe is the 2021 version of Netflix & Chill. What inspired the song was me thinking about times when I’m trying to holla at a woman. It’s usually in a social setting drinking, vibing, and me shooting my shot. The party vibe is one we all can relate to.
What is unique about you and your music? It’s unique to me because literally just about every song is a true reflection of my life, experiences and my personality. I’m big on authenticity. Shit is so much easier when you’re being true to yourself (at least that’s my opinion). What you see is what you get. In this case, what you hear…
What shaped your music? Life. Like I said in the last question. Most of my songs are first hand accounts of things I lived and experienced.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally? When I didn’t want to do anything else with the same desire and passion.
What type of music do you listen to? I listen to all types but predominantly hip hop & r&b and a lot of 70s, 80s r&b. Other than that, I mostly listen to audiobooks. Always looking to learn something new.
What inspires you to write music? My heart and soul. It’s easy for me to create because it’s a vessel for what I may be feeling at the time to come out and enter into the physical.
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about? Legacy and immortality is the passion and the objective. I want to live forever, that’s what legacy is about. So every thought, move, and intention is deliberate in nature towards that goal. But more specifically, I love creating. The idea of taking an idea that starts out as a simple thought and then bringing it into the world to see is so dope to me. So besides music I do movies, clothing, writing, etc.
Happiness to you is… peace of mind and everything that comes with it.
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out? Everyone can’t come along for the ride and you can’t save everybody. One of my oldest and closest friends told me something years ago when I was frustrated on how I couldn’t get the people that I wanted to win with me to give the same level of commitment. He said; “you can’t expect people to want the things for you that they don’t want for themselves.” That shit hit me and will stick with me forever.
Tell us about your upcoming projects… Right now, I’m focusing on what’s on my plate which is the D.A.F. joint. So, the next step will be to shoot the music video. After that, me and my team will get back to work on the sequel of a film we did years ago, King of Paper Chasin’. I played Carte Blanche and we have a lot of fans who have been patiently waiting as well as understanding about the long ass delay. But what I will say to them is we hear you, appreciate you and got you. Trust that.
Where do we find you music / music projects? All streaming platforms would be the easiest and most convenient. My label website TriplebeamWorld.com is currently undergoing a revamp and will be back up soon as well.
Any last words for the readers? Follow me on IG and Twitter @realonedl and Facebook @real1dl. You’ll be able to keep up with my journey of success with all it’s bumps and bruises along the way.
Turkish rapper Sayedar and American rapper Ilkay C. released the first part of their big collab album ”The Underground Prestige” produced by L.O.B., and cut by Dj Flash. This worldwide project comes with a lot of great and legendary features!
We can find Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks, Ill Bill of Non-Phixion and La Coka Nostra, Esoteric of Czarface, Blaq Poet, and Beni-Hana on the first joint kicking verses doper than intravenous drugs, just like we would expect of such underground legends.
Ilkay C. improved a lot and made friends all over the globe to connect the Hip-Hop culture and bring it back to its roots. And, of course, he still slays the beats with lyrical artillery and presents impeccable game with an unforgettable style.
In a couple of months, the other two parts of ”The Underground Prestige” will drop. We can look forward to hearing more underground legends like Chino XL, Brother Ali, Canibus, and plenty more coming with some heat soon, so stay tuned!
My name is Rahsaan aka Raybeans aka Chocolate Drop aka Ray Lee aka, the Melanin Madman. I rep NY to the fullest but I’m coming out of Albany (the capital…not too many people realize that)
Tell us about your latest releases, what inspired you to create them?
My last release was a manifestation project. I basically added a verse to some of my favorite songs then I put a snippet out on IG and the fans were loving it so I put out a whole ep (Madman Mix Vol.1)
What is unique about you and your music?
My perspective is extremely unique (as is everyones) but for some reason people agree with what I’m saying….after some time passes hahaha but since I have that perspective and mindset people like it’s just high level fun.. (like The Life of Pablo)
What shaped your music?
My environment has shaped my music tremendously because I just observe and comment on it as a comedian would and I would attribute that to my parents for teaching me to make good out of every situation.
When did you realize you were going to make music professionally?
I made that realization when I took a deeper look at myself…what do I like that is fun no matter what vibe I’m in, constant movement and I’m my own boss? MUSIC
What type of music do you listen to?
I like to listen to everything, except country. I know everyone says that but I have a very diverse pallet. Ranging from Saint JHN, Griselda, Flatbush Zombies… I can go on and on. I genuinely love music. I have a cool vinyl collection and record player I have some Duke Ellington, Cheech and Chong, Yasiin Bey, Redd Foxx, Beastie Boys and like 15 more hahaha
What inspires you to write music?
When I feel something and sounds/movement won’t do the job
What do you do when you don’t do music (creative or otherwise) and that you are passionate about?
When I don’t do music I go adventure and open my mind
Happiness to you is…
Happiness to me is when you are in constant flow and you aren’t looping or stagnating yourself
What do you wish you were told when you first started making music that you think would help artists just starting out?
Well in today’s age info is everywhere and you just gotta be a sponge and spontaneous at times but make sure you stick to your plan. Also, INVEST IN YOURSELF
Tell us about your upcoming projects…
