Canadian Artist Freddie Dredd Drops 2 New Tracks “Necklace & Tool”

Freddie Dredd is an internet-savvy Canadian soundcloud rapper with a cult-like following who briefly surfaced into the mainstream earlier in February of this year when one of his songs (from 2018), “Opaul” caught fire on TikTok, inspiring over 2.7 million video creations. At first listen / glance you might think his success may be another social media one off, but Freddie has been putting numbers on the board long before his recent viral TikTok hit… In 2019, Freddie Dredd had already released songs like, “All Alone,”“Weather,” and “Cha Cha” which are sitting at 8M, 16M, and 38 Million streams each, on Spotify alone. His sound incorporates elements of Phonk similar to SpaceGhostPurrp and he also seems to draw inspiration from BONES and other similar emo / cloud rap artists, but the production is really what gives his music a unique flair as he mostly samples Brazillian Bossa Nova artists. It’s an interesting mix to say the least, but it works, and there’s a lot of people who are really into him. I wanted to let you know because Freddie just released two new tracks today, “Necklace” and, “Tool.
