Get Familiar With Cleveland Vocalist Khadi Lee & His Soulful New Video For, “FriendZone”

Throughout the pandemic, artists came and went, which resulted in a crop of new recruits who honed their skill during the lockdown. Hailing from Cleveland, native vocalist Khadi Lee is precisely one of those artists, as his consistency throughout the last two years led to him being named as the Spotlight Artist on Cleveland’s iHeart Radio affiliate. Never one to rest on his laurels, he looks to keep the consistency going and his streak alive, checking into our pages for the first time with the new video for his standout single, “FriendZone.”

Serving as a standout from his recently released Sneaky Link EP, “FriendZone,” is an engaging, enjoyable record that finds Khadi crooning about relatable topics such as climbing out of the friend zone. Utilizing breezy production that perfectly compliments his infectious melodies, he pens a tale about making the conversation about hopping out of the friend zone less taboo. Directed by Jake Johnson, the accompanying video does a brilliant job of bringing the story to the screen, as we find Khadi boo’d up throughout the video, eagerly pleading his case to exit the friend zone.

Peep the video below and get hip to Khadi Lee.
