Jake explained the meaning of his new single exclusively to Billboard who premiered the track: “‘LAST TEXT’ is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written and produced. It’s a very empowering song about finally letting go of something that you’ve been holding onto for too long. I love how it starts off very raw and folky with the acoustic guitar, but then switches up into a very anthemic feel. I can’t wait to play this one on tour.”

Jake will hit the road this fall with Hoodie Allen on the rapper’s 22-date nationwide ‘Whatever USA’ Tour, hitting major markets in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Austin, and St. Louis. Tickets including VIP meet-and-greet packages are available online at
Today, fans can also purchase a limited-edition unisex “LAST TEXT” black hoodie featuring floral prints, a large artwork-inspired print on the back, and lyrics from the chorus on the right sleeve. Every customer will receive a link to download “LAST TEXT” for free. CLICK HERE to purchase.
