Louisiana Rapper Josh Scottt is the next big star coming out of the dirty south. Returning to the scene with a fire new single titled “Texas”, he is showing the world why he is ready to break into the mainstream music circuit. I had the pleasure of catching up with Scottt for a quick Q&A to discuss he new single and plans for the future.

What are some ways you have remained creative during quarantine?

Some ways I’ve remained creative through this pandemic is staying positive and keeping my men wrap state clear living my life and taking in inspiration from everyday life and the people around me.  

Who produced your new Texas single?

My new single “Texas” was produced by Kevin Katana a great southern producer. 

How did you upbringing impact your decision to pursue music?

The way my upbringing influenced my decision to pursue music is family related. My mom was a dj and poet who was heavy into music which rubbed off on me. Still to this day she is a big music lover. I remember moving dj equipment in and out of parties at a young age and mom just always playing all types of music from the 70s on.

How do you plan to leave your impact on Hip Hop?

I plans to leave my impact on hip hop by pushing the envelope, making great music and always trying to do something different. I plan to keep the culture of hip hop alive. 

What is one thing people do not know about you?

One thing people don’t know about me is… Hmmm I would rather not say.

My listeners can find me on every digital streaming platform.  

Are there any artists you want to work with in the near future?

If I had to work with anybody in the near future it would be Drake.
