Trippie Redd To Perform At Alpine Horizon Music Festival Ahead Release Of His New Album

Trippie Redd fans eager to get a taste of his upcoming album A Love Letter To You 5 may want to consider a trip to the Rocky Mountains next month.

Pikes Peak International Raceway in Colorado Springs will be home of the 2022 edition of the Alpine Horizon Music Festival this year which kicks off Friday, September 9th and runs through Sunday, September 11th.

The one-of-a-kind three-day, two-night motorsports music festival boasts a stacked lineup of performances apart of the fourth annual Speed Meets Sound experience, which features artists such as Trippie Redd, Night Lovell, Sueco, Taking Back Sunday and Xavier Wulf.

However, the music is just a fraction of the action taking place throughout the weekend, as more than 100 drift cars have been approved to carve up the competition course and off-road events such as the Rally Sprints will take over the two-mile dirt track at the raceway.

Fans can also expect a breathtaking array of cars, ranging from classics and muscle cars to JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) tuners, on display throughout the entire weekend at the event. Mississippi rap talent Xavier Wulf, who was recently featured on the Hoonigan’s popular car YouTube channel, will also be showcasing his own personal vehicle at Alpine Horizon.

Attendees of the festival can also expect the return of the NightShift sessions, which unleashes rowdy drift cars onto the colorfully lit racetrack in between musical acts. The resulting smoke and light show is also coupled with a truly electric laser show.

R&B Artist MikeyV Drops Visuals For “Amen”

Mikey V’s commanding appearance almost always gets him mistaken for a rapper. That is until he belts out the most melodic and soulful blend of what would not be considered modern rhythm & blues. His lyrical edginess on current hip hop & 90s r&b type- infused beats, quickly puts you in the mind of Jaheim at his best or Jagged Edge and the So So Def 90’s R&B reign. Atlanta vocalist, Mikey V, (“V” for vocalist) knew his story wouldn’t end in his hometown of Milwaukee.

Growing up Michael Dorsey aka Mikey V discovered he could sing after being continually asked to sing songs for his friends and loved one’s voicemail recordings. Living on the rough streets of Milwaukee’s East Side, Mikey V’s mother tried her best to nurture him and his brothers’ interest for music, particularly R&B. He can recall composing music with his various computers and keyboards as far back as aged 12 or 13.

However, that didn’t stop Mikey V from getting mixed up with a tough crowd. By age 18, he found himself with two indictments, one being with the notorious “BMF” group.

It was while he was incarcerated that Mikey V really began to focus back on music. Music became his outlet for his pain. He explains how one must take “the good with the bad of life. That’s what he writes and sings about in his music. And after being released, he was ready to start a new chapter.

In late 2019, Mikey V moved to Atlanta to really begin pursuing his music career. Since he has been heavy in the studio and set to release some tracks starting with a remake of Jagged Edge’s “Promise.” With musical influences like the 90s era music, Derez Deshon, Major 9, Tank, Escape, and more, we can expect great things from Mikey V. Be sure to follow him on all platforms for all updates.

Lil Murden Delivers ‘Tricks’ Music Video

Lil Murden still has a deep bag of “Tricks” to promote his hood-classic Gangsta album.

With his latest release, Big Murden adds to his running streak of versatile bangers another neck-snapping bop proving he has perfectly mastered the club-ready, street-facing hip hop formula embedded throughout his discography.

The aforementioned two-and-a-half-minute banger arrives just in time to soundtrack city boys’ #staytoxicking summer as Big Murden raps about the number of ways he manages to keep himself from getting tied down to just one woman.

“Tricks ain’t for kids/Bae stop lying to that boy/That thang ain’t his baby,” Lil Murden raps on the opening hook.

The eye-catching Bosh Novart-directed visual captures Lil Murden stunting all over the city as he moves from location to location while dodging the negativity his shorties throw his way. The video takes a surprising twist when a low-down-dirty female attempts to rob Big Murden of his stash of cash, which he was apparently well aware of the entire time.

After breaking out with his 2018 album Choices, Lil Murden went on to collaborate with artists such as Cocaine Mali, Fetty P Franklin and more. Lil Murden reached new heights in 2021 upon the release of his 14-track Gangsta album, home to his fan-favorite “Forgot To Slide” — which also accumulated well over 100k YouTube views.

Lil Murden has appeared on multiple media outlets including DJ Akademiks, DJVlad TV, and recently told HiDefNation about how he pulled strings to get Stunna4Vegas’ chain back last year after it was allegedly snatched in a heated scuffle.

Lil Murden has maintained a productive output throughout 2022 and delivered several standout features, including his guest appearance on the Tre Fo Boyz Money Hungry Buffon album this year.

Kidd Kidd Details How A Rap Battle With Lil Wayne Led To His Record Deal Following Their First Encounter

Kidd Kidd has experienced several highs throughout his decade-long career.

The New Orleans native has collaborated with multiple major artists including Young Dolph in 2018 and appeared on the XXL Freshman Class cover in 2015 alongside artists such as Vince Staples, Fetty Wap, K Camp and Shy Glizzy, among others.

However one of his biggest moments as an MC was a street battle in his hometown against none other than Young Money general, Lil Wayne.

During his recent interview with Atlanta-based Diverse Mentality Podcast, Kidd Kidd spoke to podcast hosts Quake and Vito about several of the milestones of his journey including being recruited for Young Money along with Drake, Nicki Minaj and Tyga, becoming at odds with 50 Cent, forming Squad Up, nearly signing a deal with JAY-Z and more.

Of the numerous topics Kidd Kidd detailed, an early rap battle encounter with Weezy stood out as a hallmark moment within his wild two-hour interview.

“I probably didn’t get through 12-bars before he was like, ‘Oh shit!,’ and you gotta think, I ain’t never been to the studio then, so I just kept going,” Kidd Kidd said.

Kidd Kidd also discusses the role he played in one of Lil Wayne’s defining hits — his 2008 anthem “Mrs. Officer.”

Since he originally broke onto the scene, as early as 2002, alongside Gudda Gudda and T-Streets as Squad Up, Kidd Kidd has gone on to release 11 solo albums since 2011. Not to mention, Squad Up delivered at least six mixtape releases between 2002 and 2003.

After nearly a decade of grinding in the music industry, having released music independently and through the infrastructure of a major label deal, Kidd Kidd decided that it was time to start his own label Reallionaire Records (RLLNR Records.) After delivering three projects in 2020, Kidd Kidd released his 12-song album Real Is Rare, last year. He is currently gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated Street Fame album.

Lyrics aside, the dark and gritty tone of the song was enhanced with production from Billboard #1 producer, songwriter, and fellow Virginia native MØW. When asked about his process in crafting the track’s sonics, he said, “After hearing Pusha T’s verse, I knew I had to go back and add some post-production to make the record sound as big as possible.
