Young Greatness – Bloody Summer [Mixtape]

Today, gold-selling critically acclaimed New Orleans rapper Young Greatness unveiled his new mixtape Bloody Summer to all digital retailers. Produced by Drumma Boy (Gucci Mane, 2 Chainz, Future) and a host of other extraordinary producers, the hypnotic trap beats gives way to a signature melodic chant from Greatness. A seamless fusion of soaring vocals and irresistible production, “Bloody Summer” represents a natural progression from the gold-certified 2016 breakout smash “Moolah” that turned the artist into a household name.

“The first time I heard him, I knew he was going to be big,” adds Cash Money Records co-founder and Chief Executive Bryan “Birdman” Williams aka Baby. “He’s got a grasp on melody that few artists have. It’s the sound of the future.”

Young Greatness had already earned an RIAA gold plaque for the smash single “Moolah” as well as the recognition of Forbes, Noisey, The Fader, Complex, and more between releasing standout mixtapes such as 2015’s I Tried To Tell Em and 2016’s I Tried To Tell Em 2. However, his road twisted and turned down an unbelievable path—from NFL prospect to Katrina survivor to convict to underground star—before he reached this point. Now, he’s realized his full potential and is ready to share “Greatness” with the world…

Young Greatness – Doubt Me

Young Greatness releases “Doubt Me,” a new single off his upcoming mixtape Bloody Summer which is due out on Halloween. The D-Roc produced cut finds the New Orleans rapper telling his haters to keep on doubting him because he’s going to stay winning. “I done made all the money/I done bought all the cars/I done bought all the diamonds/Now these niggas want to doubt me,” he raps.

“The message I wanted to deliver was I feel like a lot of people don’t believe in themselves or their dreams. So when they see me going hard for mines, I kind of feel like they question why I go so hard for my dreams. So I felt like the people could relate to it. Bloody Summer will wake everybody up. I feel like I have a lot to prove even with me having a gold plaque, but that’s not enough for me. I want everybody to love me so I’m going to grind for it, believe that.”
