The Black Promoters Collective Honored on Billboard’s 2022 R&B/Hip Hop Power Players List

The Black Promoters Collective (BPC) is named as one of Billboard’s 2022 momentous R&B/Hip Hop Power Players. Billboard highlights the success of the team since their onset as a coalition in 2020–Gary Guidry [CEO, The Black Promoters Collective], Shelby Joyner [President, The Black Promoters Collective], William “Bill” Ingram [CFO, The Black Promoters Collective], Shahida Mausi [CSO/SVP, The Black Promoters Collective], A. Troy Brown [CMO, The Black Promoters Collective], Lionel Bea [SVP, The Black Promoters Collective], Sulaiman Mausi [SVP, The Black Promoter’s Collective], and Janice Cotton [VP, The Black Promoter’s Collective]. This is the group’s first appearance on the publication’s annual honoring of the leading executives in R&B and Hip Hop. The magazine’s latest edition hit the platform today, November 17.

The BPC recently closed out their Good Morning Gorgeous Tour with Mary J. Blige, featuring Ella Mai and Queen Naija, landing at #10 on Pollstar’s “Live 75” chart. This makes the BPC’s third consecutive Top 10 Pollstar tour on the box office chart. The success of New Edition’s The Culture Tour and Maxwell’s The Night Tour helped to name this esteemed group amongst Billboard’s coveted list this year. The collective sits amongst industry heavy-hitters like Tim Hinshaw [Head of Hip Hop & R&B, Amazon Music], Ethiopia Habtemariam [Chairwoman/CEO, Motown Records], and LL Cool J [Founder, Rock The Bells], also named as 2022 R&B/Hip Hop Power Players. New Edition’s The Culture Tour and Mary J. Blige’s Good Morning Gorgeous Tour were both nominated for “R&B Tour of the Year” at Pollstar’s 34th Annual Awards set to take place in Beverly Hills this upcoming February.
