Atlanta’s independent rapper, Tony Shhnow has just announced the April 28th release date for his forthcoming project, ‘Love Streak.’ Also along with a new video “ILY / IH8U”. Breaking away from his traditional “plugg” sound, Tony’s forthcoming project, Love Streak features the Atlanta MC rapping with a sharp and well-researched East Coast flair over new-age boom-bap production as he fills the rhythmic space with lover-boy raps, his dizzying technical ability, and an impressive guest list to match. Love Streak is a spin-off of Tony’s long-standing and critically acclaimed Kill Streak mixtape series. I think it’s probably his most commercial-sounding project to date and also the first time Tony really peels back the emotional layers––talking about the ins and outs of romance, intimacy, and reciprocity. He leans way more into his R&B influences here as well, from the production and lyrics down to the visuals in his new video.
