When it comes to his music, Virginia artist Dre-Ski pulls his inspiration from artists he looks up to and the impact they have made with their music. Dre-Ski grew up listening to Jay-Z, DMX, Dip Set, Nas and Biggie, and even has albums that were pivotal to him during his early years. Dre-Ski hopes to one day be of similar inspiration to other upcoming artists and collaborate with other artists and producers who inspire him.
“I would one day like to collaborate with Young M.A. because she is a super dope lyricist. I’ve always been a fan of her music and movement.”
Though he has desires to work with more artists in the future, collaborating with the right producer is just as important to him. On his latest EP “4 Real Ones Only II”, Dre-Ski had the opportunity to work with producer JayUncut on the debut single “Get Back”. The visual for the song has already reached nearly 30,000 views on Youtube.
“Shout out to JayUncut, he is a phenomenal producer! It feels amazing that everyone is vibing to the track!”
Dre-Ski’s new EP “4 Real Ones Only II” drops November 8th.
