Zaytoven Announces “Fo15,” a San Francisco Street Rap Project – “All My Guys”
San Francisco rap music is having a moment right now — 24kGoldn has ascended to pop stardom, Larry June has been quietly dominating with an ever-growing catalog of auteur-producer collab projects and in light of this, Ghazi (EMPIRE founder) and Zaytoven are celebrating 415 day (on 4/15, the area code for San Francisco) this year by releasing Fo15. The project features most all the city’s hottest up and coming street rap acts and is produced entirely by multi-platinum super-producer and SF native, Zaytoven (Fillmore). The goal was to bring Zaytoven in to elevate and celebrate the current sound of SF street music.
Zaytoven Presents: Fo15 will feature ZayBang, Lil Pete, Lil Bean, KxNG Llama, Prezi, Lil Yee, and more, and the 10-track project arrives on 415 Day, also known as April 15th, via EMPIRE. To kick things off, Zaytoven and EMPIRE share “All My Guys,” the first video single with verses from ZayBang and Lil Yee. A fast-moving, minor-key slapper with chiming bell synths that counteract the thudding 808s–sampling Zay’s own beat for Gucci Mane’s “Big Cat LaFlare“–”All My Guys” benefits from the interplay between ZayBang (from Geneva Towers) and Lil Yee (like Zaytoven, he’s from Fillmore), as they assert their loyalty to their day ones.
